1Poke some holes in the flank steak with a sharp knife about 1/8 of an inch deep in the shape of an “X.”

2Mash the garlic with the mustard, stir in the Jack Daniel’s Whiskey and pour mixture over the steak.

3Cover and refrigerate overnight.

4Before cooking, set out at room temperature for two hours.

5On the grill, cook on high heat three to five minutes per side, adding butter to each side as you go.

6Remove steak from heat and slice immediately by cutting across the grain into ¼ inch thick slices.

7Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

2 pounds flank steak, ½ inch thick

1/4 cup Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey

2 cloves minced garlic

1 tablespoon dry mustard

1 tablespoon canola oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
