I have tried some name brand barbecue potato chips but obviously they aren’t the healthiest, but I have figured out on how to make potato chips at home and most importantly healthier and FUN! I hope that you enjoy this great recipe and adventure!

Potato Chips with BBQ Rub

  • 6 Yukon gold potatoes (unpeeled)
  • Canola or vegetable oil
  • Your favorite BBQ Rub

Wash and clean the potatoes in cold running water. Using a mandoline, or vegetable peeler, finely slice the potatoes into chips. Drop the chips into a bowl of ice water as you work to prevent them from going brown. This will also remove any excess starch. Heat your oven to 450 degrees
Coat your potato slices with the oil and place them on a baking sheet as a single layer. Using your favorite barbecue rub lightly coat the potato slices with them and then place them in the oven until they are golden brown which usually takes 15 minutes.
Once golden brown place on cooling rack and repeat process until the potato slices are finished. Serve and Enjoy!
