 Smoked & Dry Brined Bone In & Tied Rib Roast 

 

During the Holiday time we often search for the best foods to prepare for our family and friends, and it takes a lot of work to do so. So I have put together 5 of my favorite holiday season recipes to either Roast, BBQ or even Grill for the Holiday Season!

Smoked Bone In & Tied Rib Roast

Directions

124-48 hours before you smoke your rib roast add some salt to cover the rib roast and wrap it with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge.

2Remove the rib roast and bring it to room temperature. Bring your smoker (or set up your grill for in-direct cooking) to 250 degrees.

3Add olive oil to the rib roast, then add all the rub ingredients and let it sit for 10 minutes before placing the rib roast into the smoker.

4Place the rib roast into the smoker until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (for rare meat) to 140°F (for medium meat), remove the roast from the smoker and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before carving.

Ingredients

1 4 lb. Bone-In or Boned & Tied Rib Roast,

2 Tbsp ground black pepper

2 Tsp dried rosemary leaves

1 Tsp dried thyme

1 Tsp dried oregano

1 Tsp garlic powder

1 Tsp onion powder

1 Tsp paprika

1/2 Tsp cayenne pepper

6 Tbsp olive oil
